One of the distinguishing marks of being a Christian in the workplace is our doing the will of God from the heart. Simply doing something randomly for God, like performing a task diligently or offering a positive word, is not wrong but may fall short in our “doing the will of God from the heart.” When we acknowledge our need for God to work His will in us and submit to His revealed will recorded in His Word, our desire to do God’s will from the heart will become apparent. Going to work with this attitude will change the way we respond to circumstances there, whether good, bad, or difficult. It will equip us to respond to people and job responsibilities God’s way. (PMC)  Consider this: "As bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart… For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure"  (Ephesians 6:6; Philippians 2:13).
