(Easter Special part 3) “Eternal life” is more than a destination point where we expect to arrive once we die … eternal life begins the moment a person comes to know Christ personally (John 17:3). One of the Apostle Paul’s prayers points to how the significance of Christ’s resurrection impacts us now, “That I may know Him (Christ) and the power of His resurrection…” (Philippians 3:10). Knowing Christ in a personal way means we experience this new life and new order in our lives now. And even while our physical world undergoes decay, this new life brings renewal to our inner being despite our mortal bodies. We taste and experience what is divine and eternal in the midst of this life as we daily rely on the work of Christ (2 Peter 1:4). Someday when our physical body dies, then we will experience this new life to the fullest (Romans 8:22-23). But for now the resurrection power is being revealed through us and giving the hope of Christ to people who live in the fear of death. Celebrate Easter… and also be a living message of it daily!

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might, which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places…." (Ephesians 1:18-20)
