A Message On Behalf of the FCAP Board of Directors
Dear Friend,
I want to share with you a little about my passion and enthusiasm for FCAP. I first came into contact with FCAP nearly 10 years ago at a critical time in my life. Having just re-committed my life to the Lord, I wanted to be around strong Christian mentors. As a pilot, I spent a lot of time on the road, and I knew that my Christian life shouldn’t stop just because I left my house and local church family. I wanted to connect with other Christians at work.
I’ll never forget thinking along these lines and praying to God about the situation during a flight from Wilmington, OH to Orlando, FL. Somewhere over Georgia I felt God tell me that I needed to start a Christian support group at work, and I wondered if there was a national or international network that would be able to help me. I had no idea at the time that I had just flown over the FCAP headquarters in Atlanta.
When I got to my hotel room that morning, I got on the internet and found FCAP. From the very first phone call I knew these people were sincere and authentic Christians who were full of encouragement and prayed with me. When I went to my first Peacemaker training seminar the next month and a few months later to the FCAP Basic Training , I was overwhelmed by the Spirit of God and Christian fellowship. They helped us start a local FCAP fellowship, and in the last 10 years my FCAP brothers and sisters and especially the FCAP staff have had a tremendous positive impact on my Christian life.
FCAP has now been around for over 38 years with contacts and groups in many of the airlines and countries throughout the world. FCAP’s rich history of ministry has produced many, many other stories from individuals who have benefited by the impact of FCAP in their life (you can read some of these in this Trim Tab and on the website). Perhaps you have a story of your own. I give thanks to God for the faithful men and women committed to the work of airline ministry. What a blessing it is to look back in our lives to recognize and be thankful for those who reached out to us in the name of Christ and helped shape who we are now.
FCAP has a great history and many lives have been touched over the years, but I believe even greater things are in store. When that first group of Christians met over 38 years ago to start FCAP, I’m sure they had no idea how far reaching God would use them. But God was able to use their faithfulness to grow FCAP into an international ministry that’s committed to connecting Christians together through the common bond of Christ, in order to reach the estimated 4 million plus people employed by airlines around the world. And we want you to join us in this vision. It’s a big job for such a large vision, and we can’t do it without you.
Times are tough right now, and people throughout the airline industry are suffering. There has never been a greater need, but there has also never been a greater opportunity to reach out to airline personnel in the name of Christ. The harvest is indeed great.

There were people in the past who cared enough and had faith enough to invest in someone they didn’t know, and that investment paid off in a big way.
